Hi
Hoping someone can help me with a little problem.
My bathroom door is a slide across one, which is cut in the middle so its like two doors really which when shut closes as one. The door opens and shuts by sliding it to and fro.
Unfortunately, the slider on one half, furthest away from the hinged part attached to wall, has come off and dropped somewhere on the floor.
I want to replace the slider as now the door just opens up flimsily and not on the rail. Please, what part will I need to buy. I can see a crevice in the top of the door about the size of a 5p which I assume some kind of roller attachment goes into.
Thanks

I think you are describing a bi-fold door. The part you are referring to is a spigot that sticks out of the top of the door away from the hinge so that the door slides in the track effectively.
I've fitted a few of these but am not aware that spares are available. You may need to use your initiative and find something else to go in the hole.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Chaars!!
Okay I looked at it properly. I have the plastic piece that runs along the track. Bit the piece that attaches itself to the door (and then top the piece I have left as well) is lost. The hole in the top of the door where it would be wedged has turned into a gaping hole. I guess over time the wood has cipped away what with all the pulling.
Therefore, a new one I assume would n ot fit into it without falling down the hole.
Is this correct. Will I need a whole new door fitted??????
