Windows Help

My dad had the failed windows millenium and had major problems with it so he took it to a comp tech and he downgraded it to windows 98
Now the problem he ahs is he just bought one of these usb ports for asaving things on but cant get it on his comp

Question should he upgrade his windows to XP i have it or is there 1 in between

Hope not too confusing

    What is the make/model of this USB flash drive? Drivers are often available so that they can be used on WIN98.

    its a technik one he says it tells him to go to tecso site and download the winzip file ?

    Well you know that it's possible so you don't need to upgrade the OS.

    Once the driver is installed the PC should then be able to use the flash drive.

    Windows XP (and maybe ME) have built-in drivers for most USB sticks. Windows 98 will need additional drivers installed.

    If the USB stick came with a CD, the Windows 98 drivers are probably on there, although you may find more recent versions on the manufacturers website.

    it has a cd with it and is telling him to download this win zip file as well one site says you pay one doesnt

    If you have got a CD, just load the driver from the CD.
