I do agree. I don't think it's deliberate (well not for me certainly!) people post in the heat of the moment, desperate for reassurance but then when things become resolved, unless they are a daily forum user they just sigh with relief and forget all about their message on a board somewhere, lol!

Thanks for the update. I'm glad you got a good, if belated, result. I know they aren't normally cheap but Marks and Spencer do some great deals in their sales and customer service is always good. The sale on furniture has just finished, so it doesn't help you much at the moment though.

I am after a piece which is really sturdy and will last years (and endure the attention of a bouncy springer spaniel whizzing past, lol!) so realise I'm not going to get a cheap deal. Big problem I have is space, need the cupboard/shelves to be narrower than 30cm as my hallway is long but narrow I will keep an eye on M&S.
