Digital Camera Fuji s1600 or s1730 ?

I currently have a Kodak Zd710 7.1 megapixel camera, Which i have had for about 3 years and i am really impressed with it but i am looking to upgrade it ..

I have seen on the net and argos a couple of cameras i like .. a fuji s1600 and in argos s1730, Anyone got one are they any good? .. I take a lot of pics of my roses in my garden and go to lots of shows ..

I would get the best camera I could afford. The S1800 seems a reasonable specced camera to do this work

I have recently bought the S1730 from Argos, in proper MSE style by using Shop & Scan vouchers

Very impressed, especially by the 18x optical zoom

I am still getting to grips with it, but it is very simple to use IMO
