If the bags are now going for £3 why doesn't she just buy one with the money she got refunded? After all it was what she wanted in the first place.

Who knows. Though, having paid £6 for a bag whose quality proved (to her) to be dubious, perhaps she preferred not to purchase that particular bag again, and wished to be left in the same financial position as she was prior to purchasing it.0 -
