I have had one very large courgette from each of my plants. All the courgettes now stop growing when they reach about 8cm long. Does anyone know the likely cause? Are the plants likely to recover? I have fed them Tomorite.

We've got 7 plants and must be up to 90 or 100 courgettes so far, we've managed to eat them quite easily.
    Pick them small and firm.

    Not fair :(

I've got 6 plants and only picked 4 so far :(
  • Hi all. I wonder if you might be able to tell me if my courgette plant will produce any fruit please. It's also from dig-in seeds and was started in my conservatory and transferred to a grow bag when it got big enough. I kept it indoors, it's produced lots of buds at the base of the plant but they only stayed very small and dropped off. Is it likely that it will produce and more flowers/fruit? There are new leaves forming and I've now moved it outside to see if this helps. I'm feeding with tomato food. Any tips gratefully received as this is my first growing year. I've also got potatoes, carrots, aubergines, chillis, squashes, tomatoes, salad, onions, beets and sweetcorn growing in containers and having varying successes.

Me too, I have 6 plants and only one courgette has made an appearance so far! Perhaps we just have slow starters and we'll soon wonder what we were worried about :D

Oh, I have about 10 plants and only had a couple so far. I love, love, love courgettes and can't wait!
