Help needed for finding a new Electric Boiler

Options
I was wondering if people could give me some advice.

My boiler's been breaking down regularly over the last 12 months which I guess means it's time for a new one.

I've only got electricity in my 2-bed flat so it has to be electric. I don't have central heating, so only really require hot water for showers, washing up and the occasional bath.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to what type, make, power etc of boiler I should be looking at?

    When you say 'electric boiler' do you mean a hot water cylinder with an immersion heater?

    If you get a decent local plumber out, they will be able to advise you better.

    If you’re talking about a standard water cylinder (immersion tank, element) there pretty much the same...? you can pay more and get eco 7 ones etc.

    Although an electric shower is better if you want instant heat than just an immersion they are in the most more expensive to run. Your cheapest option is a standard water cylinder/ immersion with a timer

    E.g.
    10 minute shower (8.5/9Kw) == 1.5 Kwh
    30 minutes immersion (3kw) == 1.5Kwh

    If you’re going for an electric boiler system you should check out what sort of tariff rates are available in your area some people say that there cost when you take into account servicing, running cost, life span, installation cost, etc are comparable to town gas prices
