For some reason the screen has gone darker.
Although I can see the objects on screen they are much darker, how do i get it to be lighter?
Thanks for your help

This would depend on the laptop...

On mine, I can control the brightness with a combination of the Fn key and F6 or F7 (Toshiba)

Also, on widows seven (not sure about others) in:

    Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options

There is a slider at the bottom of the window that allows you to change the brightness

I have a function key 'Fn' and I press F6 (picture of a sun and a plus sign) - press both to get it lighter again.
