Car Insurance cancelled
My car was insured with M & S money I paid for 1 year in full £285.51 on October 13th 2009, today I have informed them I have sold the car yesterday (20/06/10) and no longer needed the policy and was expecting to be refunded at least 3months back. But I have just been told I will get nothing, is the always the case when you pay in full ? Is there anything I can do as not happy. J:(

You'll need to check the small print on your policy. I imagine that there is an "administration" charge for cancelling a policy, and this charge is equal to or more than the amount you would have been refunded for 3 unused months. Sound a bit excessive, but these companies do like to charge admin fees whenever they think they can get away with it :-(0

OTOH I just changed address with Admiral and got back approx £85. Looked back at how much I paid, got a new quote with new details, and based on how many months I have left found they must have given me slightly more than the difference in the quotes. Was expecting a bit more but looking on Confused.com it seems insurance prices have all gone up.0
