Hi can anyone help me please. I need to hire a car in Spain but they all say I need a credit card, I have only got a vanquis card with £250 limit does anyone know if this will be ok to hire a car.

I've often had a much larger pre-auth or deposit taken. You might struggle with that limit.0

Why not ask the hire company how much they will put on the card as a pre-auth?0
