Asda Opticians and Mail Order

Best advice, don't use this outfit. From a recent discussion with the mail order part of their outfit they are to be avoided at all costs.
Here is the reason.
There are three different parts of their operation. First is the the Stores, second the mail order and thirdly an office that deals with sending out reminders.
None of these talk to eachother. We tried to order some more contact lenses for my daughter. First we were told that they can only supply three months as is was 7 months since our last order and now we have a contact saying they can't supply that as the optician only gave her a presciption for six months (which I am still hunting for).
This is when the third part of the operation sprang into non-action...they should have sent up a reminder to take her in for a check....which never arrived, or probably more accurately was never sent.
Each of the different parts of the company are blaming each other, no one wants to take responsibiliy for this and I only wish I had the ladies name I spoke too who promised us the three months supply.
I would love to send a complaint, however the link I found on this forum no longer works (I cannot post this link here as being a new user, this is restricted).
In fact there is no method of raising a complaint on their website that I can find, obviously a fantastic method to lower customer complaints.
Well...to vent my anger, here is the post....avoid and move your custom to Tescos or Sainsburys as we are.

I'm not certain that Sainsburys even often contact lenses. They didn't when I researched mine last year.0

Just wanted to defend Asda Optician. I needed new prescription sunglasses but being very very short sighted they are so heavy with the thick lenses. Getting the thinned down lenses from Specsavers was working out at £110/£150 just for the lenses then an extra £15 for tints and however much my frames would cost. Happened to be in an Asda 10 miles from home and noticed their optician will supply thinned down lenses if they are required for your prescription which mine do require.
Yesterday I received one pair of "normal glasses" and one pair of prescription sunglasses both with thinned down lenses for the grand sum of £90. Bargain considering they would have cost me somewhere in the region of £300 for any other optician. Big thumbs up from me0
