Following a small inheritance of some shares, I transferred stock worth £732 into my S&S ISA in May.

I assume this means I can only put £4,368 into a cash ISA this tax year. (£5,100 - £732.)

You can't actually transfer shares into an ISA.

You can only transfer cash in, then buy shares within it.

No. The total ISA allowance is £10,200. Not £5100.

So, you can put your £5100 into cash providing you dont exceed £5100 on the stocks and shares ISA

The limit is £10,200 of which up to £5,100 can be into a cash ISA. Up to £5,200 in cash means that you could put £50 into a cash ISA and £10,150 into a S&S ISA if you wanted to.
