how long to hear from ESA medical

The boyfriend had the dreaded ESA medical on the 25th May and we haven't heard anything yet. Do they normally take this long or should we start chasing them up? The woman at the medical said around 2 weeks. Thanks

I wouldnt bother chasing them up. The money continues to go out until a decision is made.

I was told at the medical it would take 2 weeks to hear anything.After 3 weeks i rang them to be told i had failed the medical.They carry on paying you until they make their minds up.

7 weeks later i got the letter to say i had failed and details on how to appeal.

similar to the above post,
mine was close to the 4 week mark before i heard anything back. Was told it would be two weeks by the people at the medical too.
Time is on your side on this one as like a previous poster mentioned, you will still recieve pay as normal.
If the medical comes back as failed, as many peoples do, try not to worry too much. You can appeal the decision and continue to recieve benefits throughout the appeal.
Hope it doesnt come to that and all goes well first time around
