any thoughts as I am thinking of adding one to my roof to ward off evil ;o)))

late Victorian early Edwardian London house has anyone any recommendations as I was thinking something from here http://www.ridgedragon.com/ridge_dragon_&_gargoyle_roof_finials.htm

    Apparently a it's only a Gargoyle if water flows from it, otherwise it's a Grotesque!

    It's something I have considered too. I wanted to put red LEDs in their eye sockets.

    My wife is not so keen. :(

    My sister has one on her porch. It's either a dragon or a witch on a broomstick, I can't remember which.

    She bought hers fom ebay. Looks good, but hers is a period house. I might not put one on my 1978 build.

    As pimento says, on a Victorian Gothicky house, that would look superb - but it would probably look a bit out of place otherwise. I love the ones on the site you posted.

    The cat reminds me very much of those traditional glazed roof ornaments you see in Normandy. They're usually animals and birds.

    I'd be very tempted to follow Gloomendoom's suggestion of the red LEDs. Now that would give passersby one hell of a shock! :-)
