As pimento says, on a Victorian Gothicky house, that would look superb - but it would probably look a bit out of place otherwise. I love the ones on the site you posted.
The cat reminds me very much of those traditional glazed roof ornaments you see in Normandy. They're usually animals and birds.
I'd be very tempted to follow Gloomendoom's suggestion of the red LEDs. Now that would give passersby one hell of a shock! :-)0 -
