I totally agree with cc's comments. It's just the financial services industry desperately trying to build up trust - "My word is my bond".

I don't think anyone here, or any literature quoted, has said that interest on a fixed rate bond is not fixed. And your's certainly is. One of the loyal member specials, I hope.
