cant download flash player

For some reason my pc now wont play certain things eg utube videos etc, it says i need to install flash player, I already had flash player 10 so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. The error message that came up next said something about integrity? It would not download it, i tried a few times and eventuallt succeded by going through an installation for adobe flash 9 instead of 10, it actually downloaded 10 anyway. So there it is again, apparently installed on my pc, i can see it when i go to my programmes yet STILL when i try to watch utube it says i need to install flash player 10. Can anyone help me please??
Thanks in anticipation

It would probably be best if you can post the exact error message

Don't forget that if you are using a 64 bit version of windows xp or windows 7 then it will not install 'flash plugin' properly as it is incompatible.

    - start menu / all programmes / you will see two Internet Explorer 8 icons
    - one of the two identical icons will say ( 64-bit ), the other one will say nothing

For your information you are on IE8 if your on Windows 7.

Flash will not install or run in the 64bit version, but will install and run in the 32 bit version.

Solution ? use the 32 bit version of IE8 or download and use another browser, there are lots to choose from.

If your not on Win7 - what version of windows are you using ? Vista XP ? etc

    Hope this helps
