Budgeting Bank Accounts

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a new bank account. I've heard that there are accounts which have two parts, one which you can put the money that your bills and direct debits come from, and a second which would be the money that I could spend. I haven't imagined these have I? Has anyone got any advice on where I can find a good one of these or even what they are called so that I can have a look around for one?
Many thanks ClareOvaltine.

I've never heard of this all in one account, but many people have two different accounts for this purpose. Transfer a sum equal to all your bills and direct debits etc to a separate account, and the money you are left with is what you have available to spend until next pay-day.

I use this method but I do it with 2 different banks. My bills account with Lloyds, and main spending account with HSBC.
