liberty life

Hi
my ex husband recently died and we have found a note of a joint life insurance policy we had together. on it is an application number and the date of 1993.

when i search on the net for liberty life it comes up with an american website. does anyone know if liberty life was a uk company in 1993 and if they were taken over by someone else.
i did mail the american company with all the details i had including full names and addresses but they have no record of it so i am assuming its not that company
can anyone shed any light?
hannah

  • Although a while ago since Hannah posted this query just to say that Liberty Life is one of the biggest Insurance companies in South Africa so maybe this could also be a way forward if your husband had any connections there. You can find them on internet.
