We use Plus Crates http://pluscrates.com/contact/ they are very reliable.
The last time I looked an invoice from them it was £50 for delivery, £50 for collection and 63p per crate per week (All plus vat). We probably get a discount.
If your using crates ask them to loan you a couple of skates which make them easier to move around as they can be stacked quite high.
If your doing a house move crates can be difficult to carry around a house so check the sizes as unless you have very wide stairs / corridors you will have to carry the crates length ways.
These types of crates are designed for commercial premises as they have wide access and lifts so they can be put into stacks of 4, tilted onto a skate and then pushed along0 -
I bought several addis collapsible crates and found an internet company selling them much cheaper than everywhere else. You`ll have to google though as we are all packed up0

removal companies will include a number of free cardboard boxes in their removal quote so thats a possibility. Also raid you local supermarkets for their big cardboard boxes - they quite often have very large ones that will be trashed once goods have been delivered - if you ask they will tell you when to be there to get them before they are destroyed.0

You can buy very good quality removal boxes from Hunnex and Sons aka Boxeasy, they supply most of the removal companies in London, the staff are really nice and they have a couple of lovely cats!
Their prices are very good and they also deal with the public.

There is an online company who are really cheap but their boxes are not double wall which basically means they crush when you stack other boxes on them. This means either your stuff gets damaged and / or you can only stack the boxes in the van a couple high. If your moving yourself this will make the move take much much longer if your using a removal company it will take longer and probably mean a higher bill. So make sure you buy double walled boxes.
A lot of removal companies use the same boxes a few times, you may find if you speak nicely to a small local removal company that they will sell you the used boxed they are about to dispose of for a really good price0
