Hi there
Just got married and am wondering what to do about our finances. We were thinking of getting a joint account. Is there any that someone could recommend? Is it just a normal current account?
Cheers

Exactly that - but with both names on it.
If either of you are well pleased with whoever provides your current Banking facilities - why not go with them? You can probably just have an existing account amended.
Otherwise consider LLoyds TSB Classic + Advantage ........ if you're keeping lots of money in it? Or Halifax Reward if you want to keep minimum but get £75 pa gross 'interest' - and have an easy to use online system.
Both the above need £1k monthly passed through them. The Lloyds will pay 4% interest for balances between £5k and £7k.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
I would agree with the Halifax Reward account as being quite a good choice.
I was earning pennies a month interest with HSBC so switched to Halifax Reward and hey presto £5 a month interest.
You could have asituation one month where you might only get £650 a month paid in through wages, you could withdraw £350 and pay that back in a few days later you would still get your FREE £5.00
As long a £1000 passes through during the month (tax credits etc, cash paying in) you get your reward.0
