Can anyone suggest a web filtering software for kids? I am setting up a computer suite and I really need to have an effective system for a network of about 30 laptops and 10 PCs.

If you're doing a whole network then I'd definitely get a separate machine & use that as a filtering proxy. Any old machine will do, then block web access through your router, and send everyone through the proxy. I've used both privoxy & dansguardian to do this & both work great, although you'll need some linux knowledge.
