bought infant car seat with instructions included but no manufacturer details...

Hi there

Was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I've recently bought an infant car seat but there's no manufacturer details within the leaflet. It's not a well known brand from what I gather. Would it be wise to return this to the shop I bought it from and get another car seat or should I use this with DC2? It's a Cozy n Safe infant car seat bought from an independent retailer locally.

TIA

  • Meant to add that surely there must be a manufacturer for this seat, how can it be sold without manufacturer details?? It's not too late to return and get a refund and find another one if necessary. Hope someone can advise! Thanks :)

The one thing that i understand is imperitive with car seats is that they have a british standard kite mark. Apparently its not a legal requirement to put this kite on the product itself, most do as it signifies it has been tested and conforms to UK requirements.

Have you tried researching them online? Of course the contract you have is with the retailer anyway but when it comes to your kids, well not the time you want to be testing out things.

If you cant get reviews online, IMO i would return it. Even if you have to pay slightly more for a brand name, it will likely be worth it for the peace of mind it gives you in being able to trust them with your childs safety.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
  • Thank you - I have it at the back of my mind that maybe it's better to just go with a brand that is very popular. Was hoping not use the seat much because my first born will soon be moving onto the booster seat but at the same time I am concerned about safety of our newborn... Have noticed another poster from a different forum asking if anyone has heard of this brand too, but he/she also has had no replies, so I'm guessing the company cannot be found anywhere online. I've tried searching already.
