The safest way to do this without breaking ebays rules would be to add a buy it now price to your listing and the buyer can then buy it at this price. You could also withdraw the item and if the buyer is paying by paypal send them a request for the amount through paypal although this would be against ebays rules. Personally I'd add the buy it now.
  • Yes, provided no-one has bid yet, you can revise your listing and add a buy It Now at the agreed price for your buyer to purchase, then everything is all above board.

yes add a buy it now

what i do is email the buyer to agree a time when i will amend the listing - to ensure that they will be online, and can buy it now before anyone else does - iyswim
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

  • You might find that they know the item is worth alot more than they are offering.............I had a Belleek vase on for £14.99 starting and someone offered me £30 straight away..........finallly went for over £70.
  • I have only sold before the end of the auction once (using a buy it now option) and ironically when the buyer received the item she didn't think it was worth the money she'd paid me (i.e. offered me) and demanded a 50% refund.

Yup - I'm stupid - and refunded her.
