Should I refund?

I listed a Wii Sports resort game today on a BIN of £25 and someone has bought it today.
I have put in my payment details that posting days are Tues, Fri and Sat. So obviously I would have posted it on Tues.
Tucked away very discreetly in the paypal payment was "I need this item for Wednesday, can you post it tomorrow?" I have listed it as 2nd recorded to keep costs down, as Ebay would only let me put a max of £2.00 on anyway. She said "can you send it 1st class and I will reimburse the difference, there is no need to send it recorded as it would be covered for £39 anyway".
I cannot get to the post office on a Monday, due to being at work I am nowhere near a PO and don't get home till after 6.00.
The person has over 1000 feedback. If the item doesn't arrive on Weds, which would be down to the RM, not me, then I risk getting a neg.
I have sent her a message letting her know I can't post till Tues and that if she's not happy with this i will refund.
Should I just refund her anyway and block her? I can't be doing with the hassle from nit picking buyers.
Edit to add:- I guess as she needs it for Weds (must be a gift), it must arrive on Tues then? In that case I'm stuffed.

Email & tell her no.
& ask her if she wants to cancel. Not Again0 -
I would be slightly worried as she says you're covered anyway - even if you send recorded it is difficult to track but you at least have a chance. I know she has good feedback but I would be waiting for this one to go missing if sent normal post - but then I have a suspicious mind. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

The problem with cancelling is you could so easily lose your FVFs and then have to pay to relist.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just send as normal.
I sold something the other week, listed as 2nd class & dispatched within 3 days. The buyer sent a similar message asking it to be sent ASAP as it was urgent so I upgraded to 1st class at my cost & made a special (and rather annoying) trip to the post office.
I havent heard a thing from the since, no word of Thanks, nothing.
I have now change tactics, the buyers can see when they buy what the dispatch times are. If they need it that urgently then they should have gone elsewhere.0 -

Sounds like she is likely to open an "item not received" dispute a week or so later and with no prove of delivery she will get her money back, so send it recorded.
Also I believe it's £42 your covered to with 1st class.0 -
I did refund her in the end, as I couldn't be doing with the hassle and I sent a cancellation request to her, although she declined it.
I then got a message from her saying that she still wanted to buy the item, that hubby would have to wait for his birthday present and asked if she could send the payment again.
She did send the payment again, but it didn't register through Ebay and I had to mark the item as "payment received" manually. Does this mean that It was done as an outside Ebay payment, so there would there be no chance of her being able to do a false chargeback?
I was going to send via normal 1st class, but do you guys think I should send it recorded?
I am really annoyed as all the postage I could charge was £2.00.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £18,886.270 -
What does it say in the paypal payment, she could have linked it as an ebay payment. How much does it cost to send 2nd class recorded, I assume that it will be large letter?0
-
I think it will be a packet, as it's the Wii sports resort with motion plus and it's in a thick box.
I have already told her that I will send 1st class.
The 2nd payment she sent to me doesn't have the item number and description attached to it like the first one did. When I click on the "view transaction" on the sold item, it takes you to the one that was refunded.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £18,886.270 -
She can chargeback whether or not it counts as an ebay sale.
personally as you had decided not to deal with her I would have left it at that rather than change your mind. She has already cost you your FVFs of £2.50. If she does chargeback I think you have left yourself in a much weaker position as she now holds all the cards.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Surely I shouldn't have lost my fvf's as I didn't relist the item.
Oh well, I am just going to send and see what happens. Luckily it's not a high value item.
Although next time I'm going to state more clearly what days I can post and if they don't like it then they can buy from somebody else.
I have been a member of Ebay for about 8 years and I've noticed that buyers are getting more impatient for their goods these days, but it's not always possible to post straight away due to other commitments.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £18,886.270
