Hi folks can you help a non techie please?
While trying to burn something on to a cd-rw 700mb rewitable disc it came up with 'do you want to format?' I pressed yes and now can't get the disc to work. Is there anything I can do to get it working again.
Thanks

Did you let it format, takes a while. After that, you should be able to drag and drop.
Try formatting it again.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

Under XP you just insert the disc, then a box will open up...select "open folder to view files", then select "erase this cd-rw" which is on the top left under "CD Writing tasks".
Which program did you use to format the disc ?0 -

If you load the disc into the drive and open up "My Computer", surely format is one of the options if you right click over the CD drive icon?Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"
