I'd take them back and see what they say.
I took a pair back to Next for the same reason (they tore shreds of my ankles!! - even after letting them heal and trying again) and got a refund, as they were quite clearly a bad design.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Too be fair Ive purchased work shoes from Clarks on 2-3 occasions in the past
From experience I know that sometimes shoes do take 2-3 weeks to 'break' in as my mum would say. I did have a problem with a pair of shoes I purchased from Clarks last year. Even after 3 weeks of walking in them the rear of my heels were getting cut.
Not too sure if it was a design fault but I headed back into my Clarks shop and explained the problem and showed them my cut heels and the sympathtic shoe assistant offered me an exchange (a different design shoe) which I was more than happy with.
As other's have suggested just pop into the shop and explain and see what they say. there not obliged to exchange them mind you but it worked for me

Freda got hurt by a boot once. It was still attached to my foot.0

Any chance you read my post?
You will be able to exchange them at your local store.
Stop moaning about it, stop stressing about what to say.
Just take them back & be nice, apologetic and explain what has happened - no need to rant about the shoes being a bad design - as they are probably not.
And please stop judging sales assistant - they do not all go into 'defensive' mode.
It's unlikely that they are faulty - as others said it is probably just a style that is not suitable for your foot.
But Clarks will exchange them for another style as a goodwill gesture.
Any chance you could post the style name of the shoe?Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

I wish I had known this last year. I bought a pair of shoes for my daughter for school she said they were comfortable in the shop but after wearing them all day in school she came home with blisters on her heels.I put this down to the style of shoe being wrong for her feet as they had no strap to keep them on her foot and she has a very low arch.So I went out and bought her another different style pair from Clarks.£40.00 down the drain.0 -

It's TOTALLY different for childrens shoes.
If they were fitted then you are ALWAYS entitled to a refund/exchange if they rub/hurt etc because they were fitted.
Adults shoes are not fitted so it's always best to try them on in the house for an hour before you wear them outSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

They are not actually childrens shoes she was 12 at the time and took a size 6 (7 now!) she is very tall as well, taller than me! so they were from the ladies section.
It was last year when I bought them so I it feels wrong to take them back so long after. I have thought about selling them on ebay but I am worried about them giving someone else blisters. They are still sitting in the box at the bottom of her wardrobe. When I went back to Clarks I did tell them the reason I was buying another pair and they didn't say to take them back. However, they did find me a pair from the stockroom that were reduced to £5 yes £5!! and they were fine and she had no problems with them so I suppose it wasn't too bad.0 -
You shouldn't worry about other people's foot anatomy!!
I get blisters in all shoes, even used ones!! I rarely wear shoes without socks or tights, as my feet rub against the shoe really badly. It's just the shape of my dinner plate feet, and my gait etc. It can't be helped. I even get blisters after a step class in the gym with trainers and sport socks on. haha!
