Computer Pause

Options
What is the possible causes of my pc deciding to pause before it goes to anything I click on to. Plenty of space left on my hard drive only used about a quarter of it, 4gig of memory, running Windows XP Home edition SP3. It was running just fine click on something and it was there in an instant, now it has to think about it and when it gets there has to think about it again before I can use the slider. Tried scanning with Avira, IObit, Online Armour, and Malwarebytes everything is fine.

Any/All advice greatly appreciated :A

Please open malwarebytes, goto LOGS and post the WHOLE of the last log

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin)

I'll let RIK read through the HJT log. Couple of thoughts to check

    - Free RAM / Installed RAM
    - Task Manager (anything hogging CPU usage)
    - Virtual Memory settings
    - Computer Management / System Log (any Disk I/O errors) or red circles, HDD SATA or IDE

You could try changing cable if no luck, hanging can be software or hardware. Just throwing some stuff into the mix to try out whilst you wait

aliEnRIK or whoever looks at this and offers advice like I always say I am old and never had a computer. When I was in school the Best Invention that came out in my last year was a calculator that could add, subtract, multiply and divide I know you may think I am Kidding but I am not so please go easy with a complete pc dummy.

Youve 2 av programs running 'on the fly' (Scanning in real time). Id recommend uninstalling IOBIT (or at the very least, stopping it from starting with windows)

    reboot

    Download CCLEANER
    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim
Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)

    Any better?

    Working better now thanks Rik.

Do you still want me to post the malwarebytes log? The other minor issue I have is IObit is a Full Version which I purchased, all others are Free Versions not sure if I should disable Avira or not what do you recommend judging as i said one is a full and the other is a free version and not all the things are enabled there.
