Hi - i am worried sick at the moment. I am on ESA due to stress and missed my medical appointment (i wrote the date down wrong).
I am terrified now, that they will stop my benefits - if they do, can i go onto jsa ?
Please advise as I am really petrified
Thanks

Your ESA will stop unless you can get the medical re-arranged. Was it long ago that you missed the appointment?
You could claim JSA if ESA does stop and you dont pursue a new claim etc.0 -
Thanks so much for the reply.
The appointment was Thursday but i had to cancel the original the week before as was moving house on the same day.
To be honest, I would prefer to go back onto JSA but was scared that they wouldn't allow that either if they stop the ESA.
Thanks again0 -
Are you fit for work?
Did you not call them on Friday?Gone ... or have I?0 -
No i didn't call them as I thought the appointment was for next Thursday and didn't realise until I received a letter from them yesterday morning.
I did feel fit for work until the stress of all this and to be honest, i'd prefer work stress and wages than this

TBH from what you have said you would not pass the WCA anyway.
Call the JCP tomorrow, end your ESA claim and put in a claim for JSA.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Thanks, i'll do that

REALLY appreciate everyone's help, I was really panicking - thank you so much !!0
