Absolutely gutted - mine arrived in time for our trip away with my son but the screen is trashed and I'm having to return it. Am hoping they will give me another at the price I paid.

I'm really pleased with mine. However, I wouldn't want to take it out of the house without some sort of carrier.
Has anyone come across a suitable case?

Mine had a dead pixal, so returned and purchased another.

I bought a 10" pc tablet case from Home Bargains for 99p and it fits perfectly!
I think they sell them in Pound shops too.

I read on HUKD (i think) someone complaining about the sound, that it was far too quiet. Just make sure you remove the plastic film from the speaker bit as that makes ALL the difference.

I got mine to entertain my 2 and a half year old on a 6 hour plane journey.
I think it's fab! Best bargain I've had from Argos clearance on ebay.
That and my Lindam 3 in 1 potty I bought for £6 :D

This is fantastic, thanks so much OP and everyone else for their suggestions! Have been looking for a new portable DVD player for our holiday - our old one weighs about three quarters of a ton so it's no good with 15kg baggage weight restrictions :-) Have been using one for years for holidays, they are great for keeping DD occupied on flights, and fantastic when you get where you're going and discover that your appartment doesn't have a DVD player and you can only watch foreign TV channels :-) And with this one I'll be able to view photographs at a decent size too using the SD card out of the camera!

Took hubby in some DVD's & charged it up before I took the player to him. He's used it for at least 4.5hrs - yep it says 2.5hrs but he said it shows no sign of batteries going flat yet. Maybe we were just lucky but it impressed him. :)
The leads it came with are phono leads to go to TV. Forgot to look if there is any other method of hooking it in to TV.

I've just got the Bush version and the battery lifre is (almost exactly!) 2.5 hrs. Seems yr hubby was 1 of the lucky 1s! The sound is fine if yr in a quiet room, other than that though you would need speakers.
Thanks for the heads up on this product OP, it's gr8 and the price is even better! I can't understand why these didn't sell in the first place to have to put them on Argos clearance...?

    Hi all,

Received mine (as already stated) and am very pleased. Battery life - well it's not run out yet and it's played 2 full length films.

Anyone who would like to turn this into an in car DVD player - I have bought these and they are almost as if they are custom made for this tablet DVD player. I opted for royal mail (cheapest) delivery and it arrived next day. Cost was £6.98 ea (I bought 3) + £2.98 p&p

Can't fault them so far - got a full refund including the cost of returning it to them, and have purchased one at £44.99 with confirmation in writing that they will be refunding the £11 price difference when they despatch my order today.

Glad to hear those cases fit as I have one as well!
