Slug and snail trap

Can anyone recall what else one can put in a slug/snail trap besides beer please?

I have an idea that its possible to make up a sugar mix to use instead - but cant remember the details?

I've obviously got some snails on the rampage still....:(

A little yeast, warm water and sugar in a warm place and when it starts fermenting that should do the job. :beer:

Milk, half half with water can work as well apparently.

On a recent episode of Gardeners Question Time they said watered down milk or sour milk or watered down yoghurt. They also said to sprinkle some porridge oats on top. I stick to beer dregs as if I do the milk/porridge thing my dogs eat it...

Weetabix they love as well, any bran type stuff, but you have to be there to despatch them. A visit once or twice late at night should do it. You do need to be aware this can bring in vermin, so place it in a rat proof something.
