Your local council website publishes the LHA rates on-line. Google "xxx council LHA rates"

Too vague a question, more information required.

You can identify the type of property she is eligible for (depending on age, dependents, etc) at the LHA direct website, plus the maximum LHA rental rate fo r it by postcode.

Then she can input her details into the Entitled to website which includes her income and so on to check how much of the LHA rate she will actually get.

What benefits is your friend looking to claim? Does she have any children or a partner? Is she working? What rate of DLA (care component) does she receive?

Without more details, it is hard to answer your question.
