Claiming on a paymentcare policy if self employed

Hi
I was sold a paymentcare policy covering my husbands income and 20% of mine should we get made redundant The company increased their premiums last year and is now £120 per month . My concern is at the point of sale the adviser new my husband is a partner in a limited liability partnership and sold us the policy, however I have noticed from several other websites that partners have had problems claiming as you effectively have to say that the partnership no longer exists even if you have only been exited from the partnership and the other partners remain. Reading between the lines you have to proove that you could not carry on trading.
I am a little concerned as how do you do this if only you as 1 partner has been asked to leave due to the economic situation./ Does anyone know if I could complain for misselling or am I concerned over nothing.
thanks

Don't know about mis-sellling but if a partner leaves, then the partnership does no longer exist.0

The business would need to permanently stop trading & even then its difficult to claim if you're self-employed. Unemployment cover isn't really recommended if you're self-employed. You should give Paymentcare a call and ask them.0
