Swapping clothes

Feel free to move if this in the wrong area.
I recently lost a lot of weight and was trying to sell clothes on ebay and buy in a smaller size. It occurred to me that there are probably a lot of people in the reverse situation. Does anyone know of a site that you can swap similar clothes that doesn't cost a fortune. The sort of items I am talking about are M&S work trousers. Am sure I found one before but it was working out too expensive and cheaper to rebuy off ebay.
Thanks

The best thing I find to do hun is try the weight loss forums such as minimins.com I know the slimming world board has a clothes swap. ( minimins.com/slimming-world ) Try facebook groups for slimming world, weight watchers etc and also list at 99p any items you try to sell on ebay and put plenty of description in. I find with plus size clothes length (even on tops) measurement of the bust in tops etc is really important. You can then always link to your sales on the facebook groups. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

larger size clothes, especially evans, ann harvey, next,m&s usually get a decent price on ebay, bigger the size the more money you seem to make.i sold loads of 28-30 stuff[gained weight on steroids:eek:] and made a mint when i lost weight.especially longer length skirts and anything bit sexy.smaller stuff20-22 goes for buttons for some reason,i'm that size now and pick all kinds up for 99p.sell yr stuff to end on a sunday aft/eve and buy during the day is my motto!!Shine on you crazy diamond..............0 -
Ebay told me I was selling too much and want me to become a business even although it was clear that I was selling several sizes bigger than I was buying. The fees and the thought of tax problems in the future has put me off. I am seriously thinking about taking the better stuff in but not sure how to alter blouses as the arms can be difficult. Was hoping to move quite soon and would like to deal with the issue.0

Ebay are purging at the moment. That is not to say you need to register as a business with HMRC, if you are merely selling your old stuff then it is no problem. The fact Ebay think you are a business is to force you to pay listing fees.0

Sorry to go off topic but I have been interested to see what accounts ebay are forcing to upgrade to business. At the moment virtually everyone I am aware of has been selling second hand clothes in a variety of sizes so it does look like those are the ones that ebay are concentrating on at the moment. I have come across a couple of others, again both selling second hand goods though.
I'd be interested (maybe we could have another thread?) to know if anyone else has come across a seller of new goods, or any other range of goods that has been forced to upgrade.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
