after the 12 months is up with this account can you close let 3 months pass and reopen to take advantage of the overdraft and regular saver again ?

I don't see why not, provided these offers are still available in 15 months time, I wouldn't count on that though.If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.

Is it only 3 months you have to wait? Surprised its that short. To be honest if you open the account just to take advantage of the regular saver its pointless keeping it open after the 1st year. Be interested to see what A&L do when old applicants apply again. Sure they now that many people are just opening the account and funding it with the minimum payment a month to take advantage of the regular saver, but can't imagine there too please by it...although I suppose it opens up many different revenue raising routes for them0
