Making my shed water tight

Options
Hi all

I bought a 12 x 8 shed last year to serve as my workshop. Unfortunately the building is far from water tight and thanks to the very damp winter I now have some rusty tools! There were water marks down all 4 walls and the ceiling too

How can I now make it water tight so I can insulate and board the inside up? It's made of t&g shiplap boards layed horizontally. The battens are simple 2x1's. .

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks
G

Start by checking the roof - does the felt have any holes in, how secure are the joins between the sections, and which way do they run. It may well be that you just need more ventilation to get the damp out once it gets in.
Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.

We have an 12x8 shed at my bowls club, there is absolutely no sign of any water or dampness or condensation. I suggest that you carefully examine the roof for any sign of water ingress. Then thoroughly check the walls to ensure that non of the shiplap boards has shrunk back or warped, thus letting water in. I have a very large shed that I built many years ago and it has always been very water tight. I did place building paper under the shiplap when I built it, but the bowls club shed does not have anything under the shiplap and is also completely water tight.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
