Hi

If I click on a website link in a forum message, my pc doesn't take me to the page.

Been like this for a while and is annoying if you want to seek the site the OP is referring to for advice.

I am using Firefox 3.6.3.

Any advice?

    Maybe it's opening it in a new tab in the background. At least that's what my Firefox does. Check all you open tabs...

    Do you have any security software installed?

    Where does it take you when you click a link? Does it just do nothing?

    What happens if you right click the link and do "Open Link in New Window"?

    Is that every forum message with links? Can you not click this link (goes to Amazon)?

    There is a certain irony in giving a link to your post ;) I think you're right though. Sounds like it's going to a tab or maybe it's a pop-up blocker or something like that.

    There's nothing particularly unusual about links on the MSE forum. The links are however set to automatically open in a new window which suggests possibly there is something installed that prevents that action.

    Does the OP have any Firefox extensions installed? Ad blockers? Pop-up blockers? Tab extensions?
