Most cost-effective way to run a van for work?
Options
Due to me buying a new (new to me) car my husband is having to make do with his W reg Combo for the time being. Its got £150K on the clock and running ok, but when the time comes when something spectacular goes what is most cost effective way of replacing it?
He's a self employed electrician. I'm not sure how buying a vehicle solely for business purposes works when it comes to his tax return. Is he better buying another oldsih one or maybe hiring a van, or getting a newer one on finance? Anyone got any tips on the best van to get?

Suzuki Carry Van's are on the whole an excellent buy. I am self-employed as a dog-walker, there is plenty of space in the back and mine is 1298 cc. which means quite low on fuel and the road tax last year was £175 for a year (or near enough) Mine is 2001 and I bought it 3 years ago for £1500, it works well and has never let me down. Look on sites like e-bay, you might be pleasantly surprised!0
