British Gas charge me to leave

I have moved my gas and ele from B/Gas to the utility wearhouse and now B/Gas are going to charge me £70 to leave, this is black mail dose any one have any aswer to this problem Pete

It is not blackmail - you are given a cheaper price if you agree to stay with a company for a certain period of time. The answer to the problem is to read the terms of a tariff before you agree to switch to it and if you disagree with them do not switch - bit late now, though. Pay up the £70.0
