I have tried to revive a pc which has been out of use for 10 months and upgraded windows service pack 3.I think I have let some malware into my system as the PC starts up in a strange fashion. The task manager will not operate normally and works differently for each member of my family through 5 different accounts.I have run checks form Mwbytes and Spybot bot they detect nothing.I am unable to load Superatispyware and when I have scanned with sAS the scan has ended prematurely leaving the mouse and PC frozen. Now I cannot get interet access. The system is XP and the driver is 8 years old.It is not worth much but I cannot affordto replace and want to conquer this pesky item.I would be very grateful for any advice
PS I cannot start in safe mode as many have advised
Thankyou in anticipation John

Bring up TASK MANGER, determine which .exe is the nasty (Might be more than one, but doubtful) kill the process then see what you can do:idea:0

Have you any important info on the PC? If not it probably a good idea to just do a clean re-installation. Which brand and model of PC?0
