It looks truely wonderful and part of me says just go, but my realistic head says that it would be a waste.
Nothing to beat a good pint of Theakstones, proper fish and chips, and, if you are lucky, the yorkshire rain can lash down with more force than any Jaccuzi:rolleyes:
Seriously though, I spend a lot of time away and I have found many Pubs and Inns, where the menu will rival anything in London and without the Nouvel Cuisine style of portion control. I admit that I have not found any with Jaccuzis, but I have found lots with four posters, power showers and, although I don't drink it, I expect the Champagne's cheaper too.:beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. You sure there wouldn't be a little bit of unspoken pressure to have a really good time because it cost so much, which might actually end of spoiling it a bit? You know, like "christ, this cost £500 - we better have the best time EVER!!!"
I had my sleaziest weekend ever in a Brighton B&B which was so un-classy it had a moose head in the lobby. Think the room was about £30 for the night (wasn't so sleazy that you could pay by the half hour mind).
Be together, be alone and have a really good time.!0 -
What a wonderful OH you have! Don't hurt his feelings by turning down a few nights away - just do it DFW stylee!
Do you have a special place where you used to go pre-nippers? Revisit and do it on the cheap. You're guaranteed more romance than you can shake a stick at!
Enjoy yourselves! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
