MySQL question

Options
Hi

I have a comparison site which uses a MySQL backend, however, I have to manually categorise the navigation around the site and this organises the results - PM me if you need to see the site to appreciate what I mean.

Since I have to manually create the site navigation I need to know when new items hit the database, so I can ensure they get categorised. I am thinking of doing this by having a separate admin area where I take a feeds that show changes only. I want to be able to have a script that allows me to do a cron refresh manually so that I can periodically check changes, I want to see the results in a list. Any ideas of an easy script to install so that I can do this.

Hope that makes sense.

  • As a software developer I use MySQL daily and I'm quite fluent with it :-).

I can't actually work out what you're trying to do. If you provide me with as much details as possible I'll help you out :-)
