Help please - have I been overquoted?

Depserately in need of some mechanical advice!! My car had a leak on on the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder and i have been quoted £185 inclusive to replace........does this sound about right?

The mechanic at the (very large and national!!) dealership seemed to be spinning me a bit of a yarn so wanted to get a 'second opinion' before i give them the go-ahead!

If it helps, the car is a Citroen Picasso......

if the parts are about £50, about 1 to 1.5 hours to fit with the high labour charge of about £75.£80 per hour, sounds about right.

it's the labour that is a killer. Try and find a citroen specialist which will charge you £30-£45 (+vat) per hour, depending on where you live.

Thanks guys for you help!! Since posting yesterday afternoon, I contacted the local Citroen dealership and they are doing it on Saturday morning for £80 parts, VAT and labour!! Nice big saving of £105!!
