Laredoute are Cretins.

I used the £30 discount code that many people have had success with to order something on behalf of my sister. The £30 discount was confirmed on the website, and within the confirmation email. They proceeded to take the FULL amount without discount from my sisters bank account.
I am treating this as theft and I am irate. I've had similar problems in the past when I tried to order something from them. My discount wasn't honoured, and I ended up out of pocket since the item didn't fit and I had to pay p&p to receive it.
I've emailed them and told them they've stolen my money.

to be fair to them only discount codes that have been sent directly to you will be honoured. They can check your account to see if they sent it to you.0

La Redoute have always honoured my use of discount codes ( the majority of which I've either used from moneysavingexpert or other discount code websites), unless, I've used the code before, in which case they contact me and ask whether I still want the items dispatching at the full price.
But, as for P&P, that's either a risk you take, or you've used a code which dosen't sitpulate free P&P. The deal with La Redoute is they offer a free returns service, & you can return goods and place another order including delivery free of charge.
I'm certainly not sticking up for this company, but I would telephone them and explain the situation.0 -
yep, after 30+ uses of the £30 code (im not kidding!), they have actually charged me for my latest order (how daar they!), so time to pack up and move on I think. I'll miss you redoute!I hear the cry of the silence around me.0

This has been discussed on here many times Cactus Jack & lots of people have been charged. Why? Because Laredoute are now checking whether they have provided you with the code. If they haven't then they are within their right to charge you. If you do get away with using a code issued to someone else then you are, in my opinion, just lucky.
Laredoute are very generous with their codes to customers who are registered with them - I get a code every few weeks. If people continue to take advantage then the codes may not be as frequent.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
So it's all right for you to "steal" the code, which you effectively did as La Redoute hadn't issued it to you or made it available for general use, but becasue you were unlucky enough to get caught out & La Redoute acted, legally, and enforced their terms and conditions you think we'll be sympathetic after La Reduote warned us by way of this website that they would start doing this as we had abused the codes in the past?
Your luck had to run out sometime!Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Can anyone tell me what the £30 code is so I can give it a try.
Thanks0 -
There are 3 replies on HERE from myself (chalky_bertie) and Quackers regarding this thread.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0

Anyone who wants to use Laredoute discounts should just apply for a catalogue.
Then you'll be able to use their promotional codes with no worries about whether they'll be honoured.
As Quackers said they are very generous with their discounts and free gift offers0 -

Redoute now clearly state you can only use the codes they issue you. The codes belong to them and they have the right to withdraw them or to not let people use them if they haven't sent it to you. If you don't want the item simply send it back £3.95 isn't that much and you won't get anywhere! The codes can't be posted on this site anymore but as everyone has said once you join up you will be sent loads:j :j0 -
Well fair enough about them deciding not to honour the offer because they didn't send the code to me, but this should have been stated at the order process, NOT taken from the account after the site says I will be discounted.
My luck with LA-RED was never there to run out in the first place..I only used the code after asking someone if it works for them (it did)
What kind of discounts do they send if you ask for the catalogue? I doubt somehow that they send many £30 off codes..0
