I've seen a few descriptions like this. I was looking for a printer this week and one ad said 'HP Laserjet 2430TN Printer'.

Well as you say, if the can't be bothered (and if they don't put the condition, etc) I can't be bothered bidding on their items.

    Exactly! :D

There are so many sellers on ebay I wonder how some people keep trading.

I love descriptions like that it normally means you get the item at a cheaper price that similar items with good descriptions.

Even better when they list clothing without a photo.

I took a risk once and bought an old model Nokia mobile as it had no picture and the description just had the model number. I had recently sold my old one for £40.

i paid £7.99 including postage. It was in excellent condition had all accessories instructions etc. I then sold it on for £70. Sometimes it's worth a gamble:D

I'm a vintage handbag - aholic, and considering the prices some go for, it's amazing how many sellers think that one photo and
a few words of description is enough.
I want to know if it's real leather, the dimensions, the length of the strap and the condition at the very least.

I've had a few real bargains by taking a bit of a chance but I've also had 'genuine leather' bags come through as cheap plastic. :(

The best bargain recently though was a 'Rtary ladies watch' (seller's spelling and full description!) with one blurred photo which turned out to be an old Rotary real diamond watch in full working order - for a tenner. :D

I'm with Cyberbob on this one; rubbish descriptions put off buyers, so it means I can get a bargain!!

A picture usually helps though, but I'm amazed at how many people use blurred photos.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Yep, I love bad descriptions, take a chance and you can often get a bargain.
  • It's all true but when I am buying something like a dress I want a few measurements thrown in at the very least ;)

Oh and if I see one more sidewards photo I might just scream :p
