Woolworths are having a Xmas Clearance....

:rotfl:
LOL, Yes, we weren't the only ones stunned but Woolies in Royston (Herts) are clearing out their Xmas Decorations, paper, tags and cards and the like but I also saw packs of decorations while I was in the queue but had no room to carry them. I came out with loads of stuff for wrapping, boxes of cards for £1, rolls of 10 mtrs of decent paper for 50p, Disney rolls of paper for £1, tubes of bows and ribbon for £1, 80 Tags for 50p. Madness, I thought I had bypassed 6 months or something as they have loads of stuff they are clearing out at the moment. Go stock up now before the run out..... I could hear people laughing at me in the queue and the woman behind the counter called someone else to do another till as I was 'buying up the shop' (cheeky cow!!). Obviously not MSE's in that part of town!!

Found some items in my local branch (Torquay) today but nothing like what you found. Will try one of the bigger stores. The people laughing will be the ones who have to pay full price as they don't grab a bargain when they see it!!! Thanks
:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A
  • Our local woolies also had wrapping, baubles, lights and really tacky LED lights with feathers on them! VERY Christmassy :rotfl: Your tree would look like somebody had just shot a pigeon in it!
Didn't buy anything as my cupboiard is till stuffed full of wrapping, tags and crackers bought for pennies in January from Tesco.

Just looked online and they have a few bits on there as well so might be worth a look if you can't get to a store.

Ironically I only went in for a school skirt and they never had any decent ones!! They also had lots of hats from £1 (always handy to have a handful of caps and hats mine are always losing them), hair bands, clothes, Dulux Paints. Disney Princess trainers with flashing lights on the side for £5, other trains for £3 or so. I could have been in there for hours if I had not had anyone else with me.

Mine also had the lights with the feathers, needless to say I did leave them on the shelf!! The store is not huge but they seem to be wanting clear a lot of stock at the moment.

Went in today and got 9 rolls of wrapping paper and a set of ribbons and bows all for a total of £5 (original cost over £20)! Ironically it was the exact same paper I bought full price in december last year! Thanks OP!
