all oriental vegetables, fennel bulbs, you can start some spring cabbages, some fast growing brassicas (rapa, I think it's called). And you can maybe grow some kale depending on the variety.
I'm doing one more last sowing of bush beans.0 -

Maybe this will help, its from B&Q and I found it quite helpful (i got a copy of it in a magazine from the store) but page 2 of the pdf file in the middle has a growing calendar showing what to plant, when to plant how long for and when to harvest :j

I like french bean plants, which are lowish bush plants (although you can get climbers). Also what about salad stuff such as lettuce (you can get packets of seed for those salad leaves) and radishes. You might also find some chilli or pepper plants in the garden centres, which should have small fruit on them by now.
What about herbs? Most supermarkets sell "live" plants in their fruit and veg aisles, and you can plant them into pots - keep near the back door so you can pick some when cooking

Today I have sown mushy peas, spinach (Spinacio Viridis ), pak choi (Purple F1 Hybrid ) and all year round lettuce (Butterhead).0

I've sown Cipollini(sp?) onions, Parmex carrots, Dwarf Speedy french beans, mangetout, peas and umm, beetroot (nearly forgot lol) today.
