Since this has come back up: We had the 2nd car with the "leak" in with the main dealers and they fully tested the air con system. The only problem with it was that the refrigerant was empty due to the way Kwik Fits system works.

The dealer was able to recharge it with no issues at all and its working fine.

My two penn'orth - had my aircon recharged at Kwik Fit a couple of weeks back. Within a week it had stopped working. Took the car back, and the guy told me that sometimes re-gassing the system will seal any leaks and then another re-gas will do the trick. He offered to re fill it straight away, but as I was pushed for time I asked for a refund, which he gave with no problems at all.

So yes, they may not be able to do the job properly ( I don't know, I'm just saying what I've read on this post ( which I hadn't read when I first had the job done ! ) ), but the customer service I received was fine, I can't fault that.

    A two month old thread!

    What's with the necroposting?

I guess it's just folks trying to keep the message at the top that CwicKarp and value/service/honestly don't really "weld" ;);)

Had the original question by the OP been shortened to "Has anyone had problems with KwikFit
" the thread would be 202, not 2, pages long by now.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Yes it is nausiating to say the least, but this one is the exception that proves the rule. Anything to keep a constant reminder to folks to avoid a certain !!!!!! Turpin outfit is acceptable even if it involves the bunny boiler. ;)
