Old Thames TV Share Certificate

Can anyone help?
I've just been searching through some old paperwork and have discovered a 1984 Thames Television Limited Ordinary Share Certificate for 500 'B' Ordinary Non Voting shares.
Thames Television lost its franchise in, I think, 1990 and I believe eventually became Talkback Thames. However, I've just rung them and they have told me that they're not a floating company and thus have no shareholders. (I'm sure that makes sense to someone out there!)
What do I do next? Any advice gratefully received!
