Is there a website for buy to lets?

Basically we went a house that we absolutely love. But the landlord is selling, he has put us on a rolling contract but we desperately would love to stay.

I am trying to explore all options, us buying it isn't one. Is there a spceific website for buy to lets. I know its a huge long shot but it would be perfect if someone was to buy it and we continue to rent it.

Thanks in advance x

Your landlord is selling. So its their decision who they sell to. Unfortunately you aren't a major consideration in the decision.

Yes I am well aware of that, but surely if I could find a buyer who wants to 'buy to let' then they'd be happy that they have sold the house and we'd be happy to stay.

Your problem is that houses with tenants are worth less than houses with vacant possession (although in the case of tenants with ASTs the difference is probably marginal). Therefore your LL is highly likely to get a higher price if they sell with vacant possession - which means you have to go.

I've often thought this would make sense. The would-be landlord has a tenant from day 1 and so a reduced risk. The estate agent could always start marketing it as "tenant available".

Thanks for your comments, as I said I am trying to explore every option. Back to the house hunting it is!

Are you a tenant still? When are you leaving? Is he selling it after you've moved?
