I agree with the others it was the main bed frame and one mattress available, no guestbed frame.

im reading this as:-

option 1 - you get the bed frame which includes the frame underneath, but only 1 mattress - in stock (so at a later date you can add another mattress)

option 2 - you get the bed frame which includes the frame underneath, but 2 mattress - out of stock

damn cheap!! - looked at similar ones @ john lewis and they were £395 with 2 mattresses

Option one does not include the frame underneath - the frame underneath is the guest bed, which is only included in option two.

I would be very surprised if you could compare the quality of this with a JL guestbed.

hmm i got it wrong i have got the bed + mattress and not the guest bed bit. still i think it is still cheap for a wooden bed frame

You may be able to pick up the guest bed bit from ebay at a later date.
